Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

The score line did not reflect the real situation on the field.

The 3 pts r in the bag,but the scoreline cannot deceive the spectators.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

The 3 lions had their best start 2 a WCQ.
4 wins out of 4 games played.
12 pts out of 12 pts available so far.
They hv a 5 pt lead over current 2nd place Croatia.
Their destiny is in their own hands.
Their faith is in their own hands.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

the 3 lions continue their march 2 WC 2010 with a 4-nil away win @ Kazakhstan.

Report: Kazakhstan vs England - World Cup Qualifying - UEFA - ESPN Soccernet

Although it wasn't convincing,but it's still a 3 pts gain.

Their destiny r within their control.

18pts fr 6 games played is good.

They hv opened a 7 pts gap with 2nd place Croatia.

With 4 games left & a 7 pts gap, they jz need 2 gather a further 6 pts fr their last 4 games 2 earn tat auto qualification spot.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

WC2010 : Group C - England , USA, Algeria & Slovenia.

The 3 Lions begin their WC2010 on June 12, against USA
Then they take on Algeria on June 18, follow by against Slovenia on June 23.

I would say tat they r drawn in a fairly good group.

Better than in ;
Group B where there is Argentina,Nigeria & Greece awaiting,
Group D where there is Germany,Ghana & Serbia awaiting,
Group E where there The Netherlands & Cameroon awaiting,
Group F where there is Italy & Paraguay awaiting,
Group G where there is Brazil,Ivory Coast & Portugal awaiting AND
Group H where there is Spain & Switzerland awaiting.

I believe Capello kannot ask 4 any better draw then tis.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

who do u think deserved 2 be in Capello's squad going 2 WC2010 ?
likewise who do u think do not deserve 2 be in the team 2 go 2 WC2010?

does Michael Owen deserve 2 go 2 WC2010?
Harris: Hat-trick throws Owen England lifeline. - UEFA Champions League - ESPN Soccernet
Ruud Gullit: Michael Owen faces tough battle - ESPN Soccernet

does David Beckham deserve 2 be left out of the England team going 2 WC2010?
Ossie Ardiles believes David Beckham could miss World Cup - ESPN Soccernet

is Wayne Rooney gurantee a starting lineup everytime the 3 Lions take 2 the field?
Glenn Hoddle: I'd pick Wayne Rooney over Kaka and Lionel Messi - ESPN Soccernet

Personally,i think Wayne Rooney deserves 2 be in the starting lineup team sheet of the 3 Lions everytime he is fit & available.

As 4 Owen,i wouldn't bring him 2 WC2010 if i hv a said in the last 23 representing the 3 Lions 2 go 2 WC2010. He is not getting regular games @ manu & he isn't as sharp as he used 2 be.
I agree that both Rooney & Defoe should be certainties 2 go 2 WC2010.
As 4 the remaining 2 slots available 4 strikers,i would go with Heskey & Darren Bent.

Based on what i saw in the qualification games which David Beckham played,he deserve 2 go 2 WC2010 under Capello.
If he is fit & playing well 4 AC,there is no comparison between wat he k do 4 the 3 Lions & hw many goals Michael Owen k score 4 the 3 Lions.
Beckham k still swing in nice & accurate crosses in2 the opposition's box.
There might be a lot of available selection 4 the rite midfield role in Theo Walcott,Aaron Lennon,Shaun Wright-Phillips and James Milner, but they doesn't provide the experience, skills & consistence.
With Rooney,Defoe,Heskey & Darren Bent or even Peter Crouch or Carlton Cole, Capello hv a few options 2 go with.
With the inclusion of Owen, there doesn't seem 2 hv an added dimension 2 me 4 the 3 Lions.
