I don't think it was the trash bag that caught the reporter's attention. The reporter might just randomly pick from the chicken website or choose the one who previously gave him a bad bonk.

For 6+ years I used the Beijing Subway and the Tianjin Metro almost daily while I'm in these cities, as well as the high speed rail shuttling between them - nothing ever broke down.

Ya, the trains ordered by smrt made in china have defects n had to be sent back, also for your information, there are reports that these trains are under used as well becos of the high prices.
Likely also the news are covered up even there are problems
