I was a protected boy since young, parents shielding me from things they think is harmful and never having to fend for myself. I am sure many of you experienced the same thing.

Instead of going to the nearby shopping centre this time, Sam suggested we go to his house as he just got the latest VCD movie fresh from JB. All 9 of us took the bus and headed for his home. I was sitting beside Jerdine throughout the bus trip.

I had a crush on Jerdine since we were paired up in the same project work group and always admired her ability to present in class without much difficulty, unlike me. Many times, I tried to confess to her but she will brush it off as "you are my good friend, good buddy". Things don't help that she was from a girls' school and can be quite retardard to relationships matter.

As the bus headed towards the bus stop beside Sam's house, we started to make our way down the double decker bus. Being the gentleman, I allowed the ladies to go down and I went down last.
