sorry that happened...

it could be that u are malay and got the "policeman" look. or they could have gotten a tip off that police are checking (maybe month end or need to meet quota) hence sometimes shops will be "closed" or only provide clean service.

usually what u can do is to say "oh my friend tell me here got good service", "i come from singapore and heard here got nice girls"... and see if they change their tone.

if not just move on. near by alot of other places, giant is just 5 mins away with FL and full service places. near Aeon also got a couple of spas. plenty of other spots to go to
