My ex-wife now demanded that I disown my son citing excuse that she wants to remarry and her new husband don't want to be bringing up someone else's chid.

May I ask if its legally possible in the first place to disown a child and under what circumstances will the court approve it? I'm paying maintenance for the child now. Child is a Singaporean 5 year old.
