On the question on bank's atm, the ones that offer RP100,000 would have dish out RP2,500,000 max per time; and the atm that offer RP50,000 would dish out RP1,250,000 per time.
Go to most of the big bank's atms you should be able to draw out the MAX amount

safe place for foreigner to travel alone is quiet limited.... malioboro, alexis, sumo..

FM still ok.... uhm maybe try new spa in town, one of the finest these days ... illegals located at hayam wuruk.... i think its safe for foreigner... the place is amazing in terms of interior design and space.... many different service offered there... massage ++, locals FJ, PRC FJ, sexy dancer

There are many clubs in Jakarta that have many cute women, but most of them are normal women like in Zouk in Singapore.

I was at Alexis last night to check out the stocks available. I must say the stocks there are of better quality and standards than those at Classics and Mailoboro. Prices are a little ex though, with imports from Thailand, China, Vietnam and Eastern Europe going for 2 millions rupiahs. Local Indon FLs are categorised into the Special and Standard types with the former going for 1.2million rupiahs.

I was attracted to a gorgeous Vietnamese chick but was a nick too late. She was parading in the line up and was promptly taken. Probably will look her up in my next visit.

Saw a couple of local FLs fitting my taste but first choice was still the Viet chick. So I decided to leave and see what I can get at Malioboro.

At Malioboro, things are back to normal with Strippers parading around in bikinis and during the dance routines stripped to the fullest. I checked on the local FL models at Malioboro and I was disappointed. No new gem and those available were far off the mark. IMHO, the foreign imports at Alexis is of better quality than the model stock at Malioboro and 250 thousand rupiahs cheaper.

Malioboro has a lot of hidden costs in their billing. When they tell you the girl is 800thousand rupiahs, the price is not 800thousand nett. They will ask if you want a standard room that comes with bare facility or you pay another 150thousand rupiah for a fully furnished room that comes with bathing facilities, TV and Mineral water. Most shocking you need to buy the condom which cost you 35thousand rupiahs, another ripped off. Adding the 21% tax and 3% credit card charges, your bill for a 800 thousand local FL may go beyond 1 million rupiah.

Brothers patronising Malioboro do be careful with the hidden costs.

Malioboro Management, if you are reading this FR, please do consider to be more up front in your billing. All the hidden costs can be a bit alarming./

LA Bar, Sari Ayu etc at P. Jayakarta... This place is really bad too but still better as customer are mainly Chinese Indon...

Just came back from jakarta, my 1st trip there. Stayed in Mulia, so obviously spent my evenings at Cjs. Quality of gals there were average, there were some pretty ones but they charge a million rups per bang and refused to lower their price. Saw plenty of caucasian bros there paying a mil and not bargaining... sigh...

I got 3 gals during my stay there all of them were around look and bod 6s for the first 2, the last one is around a 5 so negotiated harder and got 400k. Damage for my 3 bangs were 500k, 500k & 400k after negotiation. Well at my age there isn't anyone there that I must bang regardless of price, so if one slightly prettier one rejects my 500k offer, I walk away, if they dont call me back it's their lost. Anyway I also realised after a while that the hotel "lift-guards" or bell boys actually fleece the gals and the gals need to bribe them when they come down. So some of them may charge you a lower price if you walk them back to CJs. Personally I really dont mind taking a lift down for a 100k discount. Thought I did pretty well for a 1st timer hehe.

A business partner brought me to Mailoboro as well. Expensive joint, forigners asking for 1.7mn while locals go for 800k. Model grade ones were 2mn but honestly the models were not as hot as some others. bought some gals drinks cause of my biz partner, thought I spent 200k on lady drinks ended up paying close to 500k as what some bros here mentioned, tax and other hidden charges included. I was rather shocked. Luckily didnt screw anyone there else really no money to pay as that was my last day at jkt.

In conclusion, for a newbie in the country, I was pleasantly surprised as I have expected worst. All in all quite similar to thailand. Pluses for Thailand is the illusion that it's generally safer. Pluses for JKT was my stay in mulia, CJs was very convenient and mulia was great.

Hope newbies like myself find the above useful.

Good and useful FR. I agree with you about Malioboro pricing policy, it's really confusing for newbies. Next time you're in Jakarta, check out Alexis in Ancol - a bit expensive but some very pretty girls!
