Number of things happened since my last post on this thread…..First I had quite a bad argument with my wife over some family issues that affected her work the following day. She got reprimanded by her boss and was told to deliver the goods to the customers on time if not the company would suffer monetary lost and customer might stop ordering from them too.

I remembered all this started on the Thursday evening; she got trouble at work on Friday and didn’t return home after work that evening. Instead she went out drinking with her friends. I stayed home that night waiting for her to see how we could resolve her work issue.

At about 1 plus in the morning, I got a call from her mobile…
“Hello….Hello….Hello…” But there was no answer from the other end.
After a small pause….a man’s voice was heard….
“Hello…this is taxi driver ah….your wife is drunk ah…now in my taxi…can you come down and take her up ah….quickly ha…”
“Ok ok I come down now…..” I replied.

When I reached the car park…there is a middle aged uncle staying outside the taxi…smoking
“Hello uncle…”
Taxi uncle returned my greeting with a wave and pointed straight to the back of his taxi.
“Thanks Uncle….How much is the taxi fare ? I asked….
He told me the amount and I paid him.

“Wa your wife drank until so drunk hor…very dangerous leh….wear until so nice…and her skirt so short…even though Singapore very safe but anything also can happen…You know…lucky I am the one who fetch her back ah….if it’s some others I bo pau lor… so drunk kanna eaten also don’t know what happen ah…then jialat lor.”
“Ya Uncle you are right… maybe she too stressed with work lor that why….” I tried explained.
“Ya Singapore now also very competitive….some more nowadays so many FT come to Singapore and find work…..very difficult lah….but hor…stress is stress…also cannot drank until drunk ma….don’t solve the problem….” I totally agreed with what Uncle has said but my main aim at that moment was to get her out of the taxi and back home….

I proceeded to open the rear door of the taxi and saw Jane totally wasted on the back seat….
“Lucky when I asked her which block she staying…she still can take out the phone to call you if not I will have to find her IC liao…” Uncle continued.
“So you can managed ? Need my help ?…”
“Uncle let me try…if not then need your help to get out…..”

“Dear…dear can you hear me ?” I asked her as I tapped her face lightly.
“Ahhhhhh…..” Good… some response from her….
I repeated again…..
“Ahhhhh….I….I….want…to…go…home…” was her replied.
“Ya ok we are going home….I am going you out of the taxi now….”
She tried to lift up both her hands for me to carry her….I managed to grab them and gave her a pull. Maybe I have used too much force as her whole body fell onto me and I was knocked backwards…
“Can or not…” Taxi Uncle asked again
“Uncle can you help me to hold one of her hands while I hold the other then we slowly pull her out ?”
“Ok ok….”

Finally we managed to get her out of the taxi….seriously this Uncle is a very good man…he helped me to bring her all the way to the lift lobby before leaving.
